We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your translated text, clipboard contents, or keystrokes to any remote servers operated by us. Translation tasks are processed entirely locally using Apple's on-device neural engine.

This Privacy Policy explains how SwaprTrans ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Luo Lin (individual operator), handles information when you use our website (https://linrol.eu.org/swapr-trans/) and our macOS application (SwaprTrans).

2. Data Collection and Usage
A. macOS Application
- On-Device Local Processing: All text selected for translation is processed strictly on your local Mac using Apple's native
Translation.framework and the Neural Engine. Your text never leaves your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- No Keystroke Logging: While SwaprTrans monitors a dedicated shortcut (e.g. Space key) via system accessibility APIs to trigger translation, it does NOT record or upload any keystrokes.
- Local Favorites & History: If you bookmark words or sentences (Pro feature), they are saved locally in an offline SQLite database on your device (
~/Library/Application Support/SwaprTrans/). You have 100% ownership and control over this data.
- No Telemetry / No Tracking: The application does not collect analytics, diagnostic telemetry, or personally identifiable information.
B. Website & Storefront
- Website Analytics: We use privacy-preserving Cloudflare Web Analytics which does not collect personal data or use client cookies.
- Purchases & Payments: We do not collect or store your payment details (credit cards, billing addresses). All purchases are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, Creem.io. Creem handles transaction data in compliance with PCI-DSS and applicable data protection regulations.
3. Third-Party Services
When using SwaprTrans, the following third-party integrations may be involved:
- Apple Translation Services: Handled by macOS locally under Apple's standard privacy guidelines.
- Creem.io: Our payment infrastructure and Merchant of Record. You can review Creem's privacy practices at creem.io/privacy.
- Cloudflare: Provides CDN caching and DNS security for our storefront domain.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Because we do not store your translation data or personal records on our servers, there is no remote user data to retain or delete. You can delete all local application data, bookmarks, and configuration at any time by clearing the local directory or uninstalling the app.
5. Children's Privacy
SwaprTrans is a general utility productivity tool and does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
