Overview: Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing or using SwaprTrans. By downloading, accessing, or using SwaprTrans, you agree to be bound by these Terms, including our Acceptable Use Policy and Prohibited Content guidelines.
1. Operator Information & Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Luo Lin ("Operator", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the SwaprTrans application and its official website (https://linrol.eu.org/swapr-trans/).

2. License Grant and Pro Lifetime Purchases
- Standard Edition: The core in-place translation and rewriting capabilities are provided free of charge under open-source software licenses.
- Pro Lifetime License: A one-time purchase grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to activate and use the Pro features (e.g. Vocabulary Bookmark manager, SQLite search window, CSV/JSON export) on up to three (3) personal Mac devices owned or controlled by you.
- Updates: A Pro license includes all minor and major updates to the software for the lifetime of the product.
- Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, lease, or sub-license the commercial Pro license key to third parties.
3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
SwaprTrans is intended solely as a productivity and translation utility for personal and legitimate professional use (such as language learning, business communication, code inspection, and document reading). You agree to use the software in full compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
You strictly agree NOT to use SwaprTrans to:
- Facilitate, assist, or engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or deceptive activities;
- Translate, generate, process, or disseminate hate speech, harassment, terrorist propaganda, threats of violence, or incitement to self-harm;
- Infringe upon the intellectual property rights, trademarks, or copyrights of any third party;
- Attempt to interfere with or compromise the integrity, security, or proper functioning of the software or our licensing services;
- Automate abusive high-frequency scraping or denial-of-service against third-party translation backends.
4. Prohibited & NSFW Content Policy
Strict Prohibition: SwaprTrans strictly prohibits processing, translating, or generating Not-Safe-For-Work (NSFW) illegal content, including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), non-consensual sexual content, explicit pornography, graphic gore, or materials promoting violence or hate groups.
Technical and Architectural Safeguards:
- SwaprTrans relies primarily on Apple's native on-device
Translation.framework. Translation models run locally on Apple Silicon and adhere to Apple's embedded safety and content moderation guidelines.
- SwaprTrans does not operate custom uncensored generative AI models capable of creating unmoderated synthetic text or imagery.
- If we receive credible reports or evidence that a Pro license is being utilized for commercial spam, harassment campaigns, or generating illegal NSFW materials, we reserve the immediate right to revoke the associated license key without notice or refund.
5. Payments, Taxes, and Refunds
- Merchant of Record: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Creem.io (Creem Technologies Inc.). Creem handles customer payments, invoices, currency conversion, and applicable sales tax/VAT compliance.
- Pricing: Pro Lifetime is offered at the price advertised at the time of purchase ($6.99 USD or local currency equivalent) as a one-time payment.
- Refund Policy: We stand behind the quality of SwaprTrans. If you encounter any technical issues that prevent the application from functioning as advertised and our support team cannot resolve it, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing linrolmail@gmail.com with your order number.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
SwaprTrans is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. While we strive for accuracy, translation results generated by machine learning models may contain errors or inaccuracies. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied. In no event shall Luo Lin or our affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to your license without prior notice if you breach any provision of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
